Pacific Licensing Studio, a leading brand management and licensing agency in Southeast Asia, recently hosted a regional Key Partner Meeting in Manila, Philippines during 7-8 May, 2015. More than 200 guests across the region including top retailers and leading business executives in various industries were invited to join in an exciting series of keynote events from Warner Bros, DreamWorks Animation, Rovio Entertainment and King that provided attendees with exciting updates, one-of-a-kind interactive experiences with the brands and exclusive access to the properties’ exciting content.
The event kicked off with an impressive Warner Bros.’ “A Night With The Stars” which featured a series of entertaining performances and an exclusive keynote presentation on DC Comics upcoming movie pipeline. Attendees also had a great time, enjoying fun photo opportunities of Warner Bros. properties from Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry, to Justice League’s Hall of Fame in cute Chibi version.
On the 8th, we kicked things off with King and its tentpole property, Candy Crush Saga, giving attendees an update on its exciting plans for the brand as well as insight to King’s licensing business and key marketing initiatives for Southeast Asia in 2015. Attendees also enjoyed the first fashion collaboration collection between King and a hi-end fashion label from Thailand, “Something Boudoir” with their sweet, colorful candy inspired apparels and accessories.
Next up was Rovio with very exciting news about the Angry Birds movie, coming in 2016. Attendees enjoyed exclusive, ‘first see’ footage as well as a hilarious recounting of the story line for the movie, which really captured everyone’s imagination. Afterwards, Rovio hosted the day’s lunch with a bird-tastic menu such as Stella’s Super Salad Bar and Squawking Mathilda’s Bolognese Pasta, and topped off with Angry Birds Cupcakes!
The afternoon of the 8th was dedicated to all things Dreamworks Animation, and after a very comprehensive presentation covering everything from Dreamworks’ classic properties such as Kung Fu Panda and How to Train You Dragon, to new and exciting initiatives such as Trolls, Dino-Trux and Voltron! The whole event was concluded with an exclusive, VIP tour of the new DreamPlay facility at City of Dreams – a most exciting peek at Dreamworks’ new Retail Development and Entertainment strategy for the region!
